I have dined here on a number of occasions over the years as it is near my office. Mr India is never very crowded – even on Friday or Saturday evenings. As it is in a primarily residential area, I suspect it makes the bulk of its income from takeaways (takeaway menus are offered in a handy dispenser on the outside of the building).
I decided it was time to give Mr India another try. We started with Mixed Kebaba and Mixed Starter platters to share between us. The latter included a portion of Mushroom Bahar, mushroom stuffed with minced lamb and cheese, which was very good.
For the main event we played safe with Chicken Tikka Masala (“CTM”), Chicken Jalfrezi and a Chicken Biryani (spiced up with a portion of Vindaloo sauce).
Overall portions were generous, and the service was both friendly and efficient. So if you’re ever in the Olympia area — maybe visiting some third rate trade show — you might find that Mr India offers a better way to spend a couple of hours.
