Definitive Reviews of London’s Indian Restaurants

Mango 6

Mango is located in a side street near Borough Market. I’m not sure if it’s hit hard times because it appears the restaurant formerly occupied two units; now it is a single building (the other one with the Mango sign being boarded up).

The setting is light and airy and the on the night we went the place was pretty busy. They have some interesting starters, including Chilli Squid and Soft Shell Crab (although I stuck to a more familiar Kebab Selection).

Our main courses included Lasooni Jingha (king prawn marinated in yoghurt), Lamb Palak Gosth and Makhani Murgh. The standard was good, although nothing was particularly spicy.

Mango is clearly popular with the locals, as the place was pretty full. The service was friendly and efficient.

The only let-down was the size of the starters, which were small by any standards.
