Definitive Reviews of London’s Indian Restaurants

Saqui Tandoori 6

Saqui is the local curry house for the inhabitants of Ham, and it was because I was visiting some nearby residents that we chose to go there.

The setting is a bit dingy and (being a Monday evening) there was hardly anyone there. But the welcome was friendly enough and the service was efficient throughout.

I started with a Mixed Kebab, which was OK if somewhat modest in scale. For main courses we decided to be slightly adventurous, choosing Handi Lamb and Chicken Kali Mirch (made with pepper) amongst others. The cooking was fine and the dishes were suitably spicy, although one of my colleagues said the chicken used in the various dishes was not of the best quality.

Desserts were the usual colourful seslection of bought in ice cream variants.

Unfortunately two of our party (not me) suffered severe ill effects during the following night, so they have vowed not to return.
